Lifetime touch-up warranty

Every tattoo done at HeadRush is covered for as long as you have it. If a line healed patchy, a spot of colour dropped out, or an area did not take the way the rest did, your artist goes back over it. The visit costs a $20 supplies fee and nothing else, whether the tattoo is three months old or ten years old.

What it covers

• •Any part of a tattoo done here that did not heal cleanly: patchy lines, colour that fell out, light spots.
• •For life. There is no cut-off date.
• •A $20 supplies fee per touch-up visit. That is the whole price, every time. It covers the sterile set-up, needles and ink for the sitting.

What it does not cover

• •Fading from the sun. Ink in skin that is not protected from UV lightens over the years; that is the sun, not the tattoo. Sunscreen on healed work is the fix.
• •Palms, fingers, feet and lips. Skin there sheds faster than anywhere else on the body and holds ink unevenly however well the tattoo is done. Work in those spots is done with that said up front, and touch-ups on it are quoted separately.
• •Tattoos from other studios. We do cover-ups and reworks, and we quote them as their own job.

How to claim it

Once the tattoo is fully healed, usually four to six weeks after the session, send a photo of it in daylight and tell us who did it and roughly when. Message or call (289) 512-8554, or use the contact page. We book you with your original artist where we can, and the $20 is paid at the visit.

Looking after it

Most of what decides how a tattoo heals happens in the first two weeks, at home. Follow the aftercare instructions your artist gave you: leave the second skin on for as long as they said, keep it out of baths, pools and the sun while it heals, and do not pick. A tattoo that healed patchy because it was picked or sunburned in the first week is still covered; it just did not need to be.
