The HeadRush Story

HeadRush Whitby is a custom tattoo studio in Downtown Whitby, Ontario. The team is built around long-format custom work — black & grey realism, fineline, traditional, illustrative — and includes Ross, Max and Maks, who trained in Europe and Ukraine, alongside Nadija, Alina and Amy (Apprentice).

Every tattoo at HeadRush starts with a conversation. Most of our day-to-day work is fully custom — designed around your idea and the way it will sit on your body. Our six resident artists each bring a distinct specialty — black & grey realism, colour realism, fineline, traditional, illustrative — so you are matched with someone who genuinely understands the subject and style you have in mind.

How We Work

We believe in starting every project with a free 30-minute consultation. You sit down with your artist, talk through your idea, discuss placement and sizing, and leave with a clear plan — including an exact price. No deposit required at the consultation stage.

Once you're ready to book your session, a deposit secures your spot and applies directly to the final cost. We handle the rest: your artist prepares a custom design, you approve it before ink touches skin, and we work at your pace throughout the session.

The Studio

Our studio is at 215 Dundas St East. We have designed the space to feel comfortable, private, and clean — because getting tattooed should be an experience you actually enjoy. Walk-ins are welcome for smaller pieces; for custom work, we recommend booking ahead. Current opening hours are listed on the contact page.
